Shri Vijay Goel is the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India. He is the Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) representing the state of Rajasthan.

A lawyer by profession, Shri Goel has been an active student leader. He was elected as Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) President (1977-78). He has earned a nationwide fame for his contribution in getting the “Lottery-Banned” all over India under the banner of Lok Abhiyan.

He was also elected as Treasurer, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) (1974-1975).

Currently is also appointed as National Executive Member in Bharatiya Janta Party.
